The address of the sites you go to can be tracked always.

Passwords and site content may not be visible if it is encrypted. These can be protected by what is called secure socket layer. This requires the site you are going to to implement this. You cannot use it to protect your self.

Internet service providers aggregate and sell the places you go to. AT&T considers this to be their data and have declared that they can do anything with it.

Inside your browser there are cookies, little bits of data that a site drops on you computer. These can be legitimate, like a language selection so you do not need to say English every time you visit. But some sites get together and hit a second site and you can be tracked by third parties who can know where you have come from last without buying the data from your ISP, which usually has this for sale.

E-mail is open generally unless you use a web-mail which uses SSL. You can tell by the icon your browser uses to signify a secure connection.

If your not doing anything illegal dont worry about it,No matter what you do some parasite can find a way into your pc.But when they do that they leaves tracks on your drive which will give you the ip address.I brought a work pc in to be fixed, the power switch was faulty and he was able to print out everything that has tried to attack my business data.

The internet provider, he always monitors the amount of the traffic.
Yes, people who can track your informations from a hotel or school can do it even when you're home, even now. Those people are good and they are from FBI or CIA.

If they have the right software installed, and take the time to do so, yes, they can track what you look at on their network. I found this out the hard way in high school.

Emails are a bit different. If you are using POP/IMAP (ie. Outlook) to view your mail then yes, they can see anything. If you log in through the web browser then it depends upon what service you are using.

That would be illegal, but hotel staff haven't historically been respectful of people's privacy.
