gas lines have become brittle,need to replace but dont know where they come from or go to. can you help with a diagram, please

There is one. It goes from the gas tank to the carberator. You can get replacement at many of the auto parts stores where I live. It is usually 1/8 inch line. A two foot roll is about 3 or 4 dollars US.

Once you take the outer case off, you will see where it goes. A diagram is usually not necessary.

Maybe resubmit your question or edit and let us know what Ryobi product you have. If it is a weed eater, then the line may go from tank to primer bulb to carb. These small lines do need changing regularly and it can be difficult to change the tank line without the proper tool.
