Ok, so we all saw Florida embarrass Ohio St...however, I still believe that the BCS is flawed perennially...however, how do you set up a "playoff" system to keep the money flowing (because, after all, that's what the colleges are in the BCS for anyway). College football is played with so much emotion, that it makes it possible for a heavy favorite, and much more talented, to be upset. So I guess 2 questions here...1. What's the fix? 2. How do we get the NCAA to recognize that there is a desperate need for the fix?

The fix is very simple-a 6th or even 7th BCS Bowl game if neccessary.

For example, is anybody going to dispute the legitimacy of the 2005 Texas Longhorns, the 2002 Ohio State Buckeyes, the 1999 Florida State Seminoles, the 2000 Oklahoma Sooners, or the 2001 Miami Hurricanes? No way! They all went undefeated, and they all won the official BCS title game. But with the 2003 and 2004 USC Trojans, the 2003 LSU Tigers, the 2006 Florida Gators, the 1998 Tennessee Volunteers, issues arise. As weak as their scheduals were, the 1998 TCU Horned Frogs, the 2004 Utah Utes, and the 2006 Boise State Broncos all went undefeated. They at least deserve a chance to silence their critics by playing the so called "BCS Number 1." And above all those teams, the 2004 Auburn Tigers were downright robbed. They beat four top ten teams, had three top ten picks and four 1st round picks, and their defense lead the nation in both yardage in scoring. I firmly believe that they would have beaten USC had they played them.

So any way,Tennessee should have had to play TCU in a 5th Bowl game. Florida should have to play Boise State in a 6th Bowl game. USC should have played LSU in a 5th Bowl game to determine the true 2003 national champion. And with the three way mess in 2004, Utah and Auburn should of squared off first in the Sugar Bowl, and the winner would face USC in the Orange Bowl. Sound fair? It sure would determine the true national champion!

Where would these games be played? Where ever the BCS title game was held that year. Tennessee beat Florida State in the Fiesta Bowl, so they should have to face TCU in the Fiesta Bowl. LSU faced Oklahoma in the Sugar Bowl, so they should have to face USC in the Sugar Bowl. With Florida and Boise State, both played in the Fiesta Bowl anyway, so how about having the game there?

For those of you that say a rotating system would make college football "look bad," HELLO, NAME ME ANOTHER SPORT THAT HAS CO-NATIONAL CHAMPS!!!!! College Football is messed up like that anyway, so what would a rotating system do to make the sport "look bad"?

A playoff system destroys the classic college football tradition of the undefeated team being the best team. It's like Khlorite said, who wants to see Number 15 vs. Number 6?

The fix is the BCS. The BCS is for the #1 and #2 to play with no blemishes. That is the draw. Why have a playoff in college football and have a team like WVU get hot and be in the BCS final against Cal when the whole time everyone wanted to see OSU against Florida? The BCS is just a guarantee that we all see the mystique of a #1 and #2 and get the best matchup possible. I think (IMOHO) the last four years have been very good BCS Championship games. Who wants to see #15 vs. #6?

Every year they tweak the BCS and try to make it better. This year the best team won. If you want a playoff system you are saying the bowls mean nothing and the millions of dollars that the teams make by playing in the bowls in small change. You will be spitting in years of tradition. Also you are taking about adding at least 2 or 3 games. The College presidents are already on record as saying they will not add any more games on the schedule. They are concerned about the students grades. The big name schools are already tied by contract into the bowls until at least 2010. If the NCAA tried a playoff system they would loose money. TV contracts would have to be re-negotiated, the bowls would hit back by asking non BCS teams to the bowls. The NCAA would be taken to court by the bowls, CBS, NBC, ESPN, to name a few.

each and every convention has a convention championship. it is the first six. Then, ten at-great bids. So, if the common season convention winner would not win the conf. championship, they nevertheless can get a bid. The bids are determined with assistance from a score equipment really like the BCS. Any crew from a non-major convention it truly is contained in the proper 16 receives an computerized bid. If Notre Dame is contained in the proper 16, they get an computerized bid. the proper seeds get living house video games contained in the first and second round. the merely precise 4 is then performed in a 2 week time span on an identical web site (Rose Bowl, etc..). The bowl equipment remains intact for those communities that do no longer make the proper 16.
