Never been there but heard a lot of wierd stuff about it and not the usual misconceptions but a lot of strange things have been told to me by Indians themselves.

India is great but in your own eyes because its your's..but in my opinion indians are Hypocrites and very very narrow minded..I have been there in 2005 and have a very bad experiences...I think they are not used to take bath..whenever, i met indian there was stink in my nose...

Most of the essential drugs available in India are spurious and contain dangerous chemicals which have even caused the deaths. Have the politicians and bureaucrats done anything to tackle the menace of spurious drugs? They have only taken huge bribes from the spurious drug manufacturers and remained silent.

Almost all the rivers, lakes, canals, streams and wells are highly polluted in India. The Ganga, which is still called the holiest river by the Hindu leaders, is the dirtiest river in the whole world! Each and every drop of it reeks of disease and death for the millions of people who use its water. Now your politicians and bureaucrats want the dirtiest river in the world, Ganga, to be linked with all the other rivers of India. Mixing the dirty Ganga water with them will pollute all the river waters in India and massively spread more disease and death all over the country.

Yes, of course, the promoters of Hindutva will certainly put massive amounts of the holy cow's pure urine and pure dung in the Ganga to purify it!

all these is 100% true in India....that people drink cow Urine and NOT ONLY THAT BUT THEY TAKE COW DUNG AND STICK ON THIER HOME WALLS THEY THINK THIS WILL BRING PEACE AND FRESHNESS IN THIER HOMES.... What an IGNORANCE...

It was and the standard is going down. Foreign invasions have given a serious dent to our pride and there started all the downward movement. We need to find our feet and start climbing up in the ladder. There is no use romanticising our past, ignoring the present and indulging in fantasies about the future.

i dont decide on to decide on purely between the predetermined solutions. Tony G has advised a lot that india, BCCI and all individuals can study from. i think that the spirit of cricket should be safeguarded via the ICC. allowing BCCI to effect it in preserving with its funds has grow to be a situation. IPL is a real curse to international cricket. the position is lalit modi immediately? they're the form of adult adult males in the back of indian cricket scene, you want or not. all are purely taking into consideration falling in line and making a quickly dollar with the IPL. severe time ICC takes over cricket progression.

Like every country it has its pluses and minuses, but I've been there 4 times because I absolutely love it!! I love to see all the women dressed in their saris walking down the crowded streets. It is such a rich and colorful culture. Soul touching.

Undoubtedly. Nobody can have such a culture and religion as we have. Only problem we are facing now is that we are getting carried away by western culture. Which we think of as a fad which has been wornout by the westerners themselves. Who are now looking forward to india for all their problems. Our strength is our faith. Faith in ourselves, God, Religion. Which we should never forget and success would be ours.

That depends on what you are referring to as great. I see intelligent people, traditions, culture, history, art, and the natural beauty of the land.

Hey pal, has it occurrered to you that every person thinks his/her country is great?

Now as for agreeing with your statement, or was it a question? I think your question is a bit retarded. Are you narcisstic? You sound so.

People from genuinely great countries do not need affirmations or proclamations about the greatness of their countries. Your question smacks of insecurities.
