I brought a diamond ring for $2300, it is worth $18000, Just waiting for it to arrive made me feel sick. But I've since brought 4 more rings from the same dealer. You just have to research the sellers well.

I bought a pair of Tiffany Cufflinks once. They ended up being fakes and I had to threaten a police complaint to get my money back. I ended up losing about $20 on the deal. I think I bought a $250 gift card once as well. It worked out just fine.
I've spent more than that on other similar sites, most of which turned out with mediocre results.
