Yes I think so, but they recommend 1GB.

With 512mb of ram, Vista automatically goes into the "Basic" user interface, which is not much different from XP. With 1 GB or more you can run the full Aero interface completely with no problems. Sure you could get it running with 512mb, but you'd have to give up alot of the visual elements. It's not all bad though, theres more to Vista than the cool interface you know...

Yes, it's compatible but 512mb ram is minimum requirement for Vista. I suggest you go with 1G or higher for Vista.

It like crawling on your carpet, man. They had over 3,000 programmers to build VISTA. More likely you'll need more ram for being above all rams around.

1gig + is recommended and 2gb is the best ..i got this info coz im shopping for a new laptop also
