Well I dont see whats so unfathomable about a flirtatious spank, but when it ventures into the realm of fetishism it's likely a domination/submission thing, at least to some degree. Not to mention there must be elements of maternal/paternal psychology to it, depending on the sex of the spanker. It wouldn't surprise me at all if most spankees called the spanker daddy/mommy during intense spanking sessions, or just as likely would be the title Master/Mistress I'm sure. Perhaps it plays upon the part of the psyche present in most people that cautions us that sexual abandon is somehow "wrong" or "bad".
