I was in NYC for 2 weeks back in November and ran into 1 celebrity the whole time. If he does live in NYC ya might bump into him, but chances are unless they are filming at the moment he won't be there. If ya want to go somewhere for a chance to run into a celebrity try Hollywood - or look for where there are film festivals - do some research into the type of celebrity ya want to meet to increase ya chances.

California is much bigger than New York. The chances of you meeting someone in California are small, unless you plan on visiting Hollywood. There are a lot of actors there, so if you're intending to meet celebrities try Hollywood. You might not find the person you're looking for, but you're more likely to run into someone there than probably anywhere else in the world.

In 1997, he made the move to Los Angeles and connected with a manager. Not long after, he successfully landed his very first audition in LA for the "Buffy the Vampire Slayer" pilot, where his character was the first on-screen victim of the show. Before his big break, Giovinazzo appeared in numerous guest-starring roles on television and in such films as Billy's Hollywood Screen Kiss, For the Love of the Game, The Big Brass Ring and Black Hawk Down. He also was a lead in the short-lived UPN sitcom "Shasta McNasty". With a passion for cinematic acting, Giovinazzo continues to do films whenever he can. He co-starred with William H. Macy in "In Enemy Hands" by Lions Gate Films. He also had a starring role with Freddy Rodriguez and Peter Dobson in the independent movie "The Red Zone".

With his new television role as forensic scientist Danny Messer on "CSI: NY", he calls on his family for advice as his father and sister were both NYPD officers. His character can be described as "passionate, with an urge to question all that is corrupt… a kid from the streets who studied and made good for himself".

Looks like to me he lives in L.A., so I'll see you soon.

I was in NYC last Sat. thru Tues. I strongly recommend Los Angeles. Stay in the West Hollywood/Santa Monica areas. Plan to spend a little money on food and drink if you want to see anyone. Do a little research on what restaurants and bars they frequent. I have seen Jack Nichelson at lunch with my wife. I have sat next to a couple stars at bars in Beverly Hills near Tiffanys. These were chance encounters; I wasn't trying. However, LA is full of famous faces! They are in NYC, but I never see them.
