For music production (i.e. making beats, songs, etc.) which is better: a windows or an apple.?

i am choosing between and apple macbook and a windows. the windows can be any version (vista, media center, home, etc.) and any brand, as long as it can compete with the apple. also, if u can, wat is a good program that is cheap and you can use to make urban style beats, such as hip hop and rap and is compatible with a keyboard and digital drums.

Mac pcs and notebooks are of course better than pc windows but more expensive. SoundForge and Acid to me seem to be pretty good music making software. No need to pay for software just go to Limewire.com or ThePirateBay.org

Well, I suggest the Macbook, as it comes with a program called GarageBand. It's a production studio that makes beats for you and it should have some hip hop and R&B in there. If GarageBand is not what you're looking for, you can download FL Studio 6 (demo only, from Download.com). FL Studio 6 is compatible with Mac and Windows, but Mac has the GarageBand program that is easy to use and has full functionality as opposed to the FL Studio demo.
