Easter Sunday is the first Sunday after the first full moon after the vernal equinox. The vernal equinox is on March 20 or March 21.
If the full moon was on March 19, you would wait 28 days for it to be full again and then Easter Sunday would be next next Sunday after that.
If the Full Moon was on March 22, Easter Sunday would be the following Sunday.

i agree with the poster who said that Easter is the first full moon after the vernal equinox.
To debunk the theory that Easter is a purely Christian festival, let me tell you this. "Eostre" as it was originally known, was a European Pagan festival celebrating the return of the warm times - Winter is over, so it's time to start thinking about planting again.
Easter was fobbed off onto us a couple of hundred years ago as part of the Christian's way of burying - completely - any Paganism which was extant. Along with the burning of witches.
Just more proof that Christians are not about Love and Peace, but about forcing their weird mythological ideas down everyone's throats even if they disagree. look at Iraq and Afghanistan if you need any more recent proof!
love and Light,
Jarrah
(btw - I'm lucky enough to live in a country - Korea - where they celebrate Buddha's Birthday and Chusok (Korean Thanksgiving) as well as Easter! best of both worlds!!)

Which Easter of Two Easters?
http://www.godshew.org/Easter.htm
Friday, the 6th of 7 days, is both good and evil.
We are to "discern"(avoid) "both good and evil".
http://www.godshew.org/Hebrews6.htm
Only the 7th day has no evening and morning.
Only the 7th light has no darkness and light.
Only the true seventh has no law and grace.
In which things are an "allegory": Galatians 4.
Question: which Sabbath of two Sabbaths at Easter?
Hint: 1 of 2 Sabbaths at Easter is called a "high" day.
Hint: Paul says: mind not "high" things: Romans 12:16
Hint: be not "high" minded: Romans 11:20; 1Timothy 6:17
Why? Cause "highminded" listed among "unholy": 2Tim3.
The GRACE of our Lord Jesus Christ with you all. Amen.

Easter is a lunar holiday so it is determined by the moon. At least that's a start for you. I'm not sure if it's the first quarter moon, last quarter moon or something like that in March or April.
If you know this, then you know when Lent starts, and then you know when Mardi Gras ends and begins two weeks before Lent. Party on.

I don't know but Easter was once in March in the 70's! Did you know that?! I found that out cause I was argueing with my mom about it not ever being in any other month but April...but then she broke out with her callendar from when she was in high school and proved me wrong! Lesson: Don't argue with your Mom!! You'll be wrong!
