I'm guessing that you mean diastasis of the pubis symphasis.

It's not that uncommon and it can be extremely uncomfortable.

All women have a slight "gap" where the bones of the pubis meet, when a diastasis occurs (usually later in pregnancy) the gap widens. A physician can treat the pain associated with it but only time will cure it.
