how hard is it to get a degree in teaching art at an jr high level in texas or colorado

Honestly, it is not too difficult to get a degree. The art classes require talent and as the above post said, passion, but they teach you techniques that you can then use with your future students.
My advice would be to keep a notebook or folder with EVERY technique that you learn so that you have an easy reference when you need a new idea. Once you become a teacher it will be a great resource.

Your answer depends on finding out how passionate about Art your heart carries. If you have a strong passion to learn more and teach art at such an educational school level, then you'll find the heart, focus and drive needed to earn the Art Education degree.

You know the flip side if your heart has a weak faint passion for the study and teaching of Art; so soon comes the time to look inside your own heart---and hope you find the truth and make the right choice(s) in life. Good luck in your efforts.
