How many fives can go into seven? So, take 7 and subtract 5 and what do you have left? 2..So the remaining number is 2.

So, lets say you have the question how many fives goes into ten..That would be 2. So you take 10 and subtract 10 then you have zero left. So there is nothing over.
Make sense? Hope this helps.

5 goes into seven once with two over. How many fives are possible in seven? One. Two fives would make 10, right? So after you take one five from the seven, how many do you have left? 2. So your remainder, or "over" is two

7 divided by the number 5 gives you an answer of 1.2. That is because you can only get 1 lot of the #5 out of 7 - 1,2,3,4,5,6,7 - only count to 5 once. And what is left over is 2 numbers - 6 & 7 - hence 5 goes into 7 once with 2 left over

Are you serious?
this is basic division.
five goes into seven once with two left over means that seven divided by five is one remainder two.
or 7=1x5+2
how did you get a 30% best answer ranking and not know this?

ok division the question is 7 divided by 5.....ok 5 will only og into seven once if you tryed to put it in twice then it would be 10 so that wouldn't work then ok since 5 only goes in once you have 2 left over ..does that help?

1+1+1+1+1 is five. 1+1+1+1+1+1+1 is seven. It is very easy just look at it and you will get it.

1.2 parts of five makes a seven ... ok, I hope?

PS . I just saw some of your other answers and they all meant well ... but some were very mathematically wrong.

7divide by 5=1 with a remainder of 2 .

Could you please tell me someone why I have been trying to ask a Geometry and trigonometry question and have asked the same question over 5 times but it hasn't come up at all where all the math questions are (I definitely put it in the write section)? It lets me ask the question on yahoo answers, 5 points is deducted and the question looks fine except that no one else can answer the question! Please go onto my profile and answer my question. Thanks so much!

7 divided by 5 = 1, with a remainder of 2.

Or see it like this.

what is 7-5? 2. That is how you ge the remainder. Its different with longer division though. You're prob. just making it harder than it actually is by overthinking it.
