destroyed is relative and part of ones own perspective. you may have lost you material possessions, a person you cared for or maybe your freedom but you can still think and that is the begin of all art.
might i suggest reading a book called, If Kisses Were Bullets. its about suffering for art and what you believe in during what seems like a slowly crumbling life.
