I agree and I've often wondered this myself. Don't get me wrong, helping anyone - anywhere who needs it is a very nobel thing and should not be looked down upon in any way shape or form. However, there is SO MUCH that needs to be done here as well, and too often I see stories relating how local charities geared at helping those in need here are in dire straits, right alongside the story of a celebrity who just gave millions of dollars to a foreign cause. Or, a story about how 50 schools are about to close in Detroit due to lack of funding right alongside the story about how the pres. needs another few billion in order to build schools in Iraq.

We need to get our priorities back in order.

I somewhat have found maximum British people to be particularly polite and somewhat exciting. i'm an American, the son of a Scotsman, and if there replaced into ever a people to dislike the Brits, it is going to the two be a Scot or an Irishman. growing to be up, I spent a minimum of sooner or later a week enjoying soccer with foreigners, because it replaced into no longer a nicely commonplace interest back then. the diversities in our cultures clarify numerous ways we detect them as such, yet once you get to be attentive to the folk, you will discover they are extremely a exciting loving bunch and make as plenty exciting of themselves by using fact the do others. this is noticeably much a British comical cultural ingredient. They make exciting of each others' sought after communities, plenty as we do, yet their type of humor comes in the time of slightly "off" by potential of our standards. So, purely attempt to realize our cultural differences are what makes us see them by using fact the "intense and robust, self-righteous assholes", (that and the reality that we beat them for our independence and many are nevertheless bitter approximately that.)

I totally agree......American celebrities "forget" to help their own because that would not grab headlines as doing so abroad does. They are trying to promote themselves to a larger audience and market. This also explains why they are not patriotic or loyal to their own country. Their interests are global.
