I don't understand the question... why?
1: why do you use marriage in the past tense.. are you over being married now?
2: Why are you asking me if it's OK for you to propose on the internet.. why do I care how you people hook up?
3: Are you really asking if it's OK for you to propose in the first place? I can't answer that --- it's prbably best ansered in the word of Roxette and the song "listen to your heart"

There isn't anything wrong with this, just make sure to check anyone out really well in order to be safe. Verify everything about them cause there are lot's of wierd people, predators trolling the internet.

Always take a good friend with you when meeting someone from the internet the first time. It's better to be safe than sorry.

Main thing is, will the person you want to propose to believe you even if you posted it on the net? I really don't see a value of posting your intentions to a bunch of strangers. The person you have to convince of your best intentions is your would-be intended, not us.

Why not just find a nice place where you can be alone with your intendant. Pop the question. If the answer is yes, shout it to the world. If the answer is no, accept it and give yourself time to heal with out the world watching.

What are you asking?!

If you want to get married and you are serious about it, who cares what your 'friends' think?

Its your life, not theirs.
