I've had many different pets in my life. Most of which were strayed or needed a new home/situation and we would bring them in help them out with behaviors, training, health, etc and then when we thought they were ready we found them a good home. I've been around both domestic pets and wild animals. My father rehabilitated squirrels & opossums. We also had many other pets when I was growing up. Cats, dogs, fish, rabbits, guinea pigs. I am now grown and have many pets of my own, I have 3 dogs, 2 cats (one of which thinks heis a dog), 1 chinchilla, 1 guinea pig (who thinks she is a chinchilla) and 1 horse.

I have had animals around me since I was born (that was a while ago . . . before Elvis died, but after JFK).
We had Dobermans for the first 8 years, fish (huge tank) and rabbits.
Then, with three kids, we all brought something home:
Gerbils (lots, as they kept reproducing), chicken, snake (which, by accident, took care of some of the gerbils), parakeet, (stupid me even brought crabs home from the San Jac river and put them in the bath tub), and to round off the three bedroom apartment, a dog, that we were just 'keeping for the weekend' - 15 years is a long weekend. We added cats once we had a house again and another puppy.
Out on my own, I got two more parakeets, then got a potbellied pig. I added one cat, then a second and now a third. The parakeets are gone, but the rest are still here. I have been considering a dog for the last two years, but I think I am going to wait until the pig has lived his life. He's old and I don't want to add the stress.

2 types of pets only, bird and fishes. I don't really like fishes though. Actually, I've been wanting to raise a golden retriever. They're cool dogs.

Alot. I cant really count. I had a bad habit of bringing wild animals home when I was small. I would raise them and let them go. Found a husky once with a bolt threw his paw and released him and brought him home then his owners snuck in and took him but he came back with a bolt and piece of chain threw his paw. It healed and he was fine. We named him trusty. My mom did not like it when I walked in with a skunk though or the baby mice or gophers. LOL. I must have been quite a character. Never really thought about it.
