local parts stores should carry rear view re-hang kit. basically it's adhesive and a alcohol pad. approx $2.00- $5.00.
most mirrors have a small hanger. they slide off the mirror.could still be on window.
scrape ALL dirt and glue from hanger and window .
using alcohol pad to clean (both) thoroughly .
glue hanger onto window, (*stretch a small piece of duck tape tightly across the hanger).
wait at least 24 hrs before sliding mirror back onto hanger

Go to Napa and get this stuff called epoxy. It comes in two tubes. One is purple and the other is clear. After reading the directions on the back of the package mix the two together. As you are mixing it, it will get hot. Smear it on the part of the mirror that attaches to the windshield and hold it there. It dries very quickly. So be sure to have the mirror in the right place. Because ounce it's dry it will not come off easily.

It's not a very hard job. It's a small piece on the back of the mirror take it off by pulling down on it. Put some windshield glue on it after warming up your car in the morning. Let it dry and slide the mirror back on.

Talk to your dealership or an Auto parts store about buying either a) mirror glue and just glue it back on but keep in mind it could fall off again in this weather or b) get a used mirror and put that one on with an adheisive. They can also check out your mirror to make sure that it isn't bad now. As far as I know, you can't get a ticket for not having a rear view mirror if it JUST fell off, if you do get pulled over for it tell them that you are going to get it fixed and be sure to use your mirrors for lane changing. Best of luck!

They do sell a special adhesvise for mirror replacement at the auto stores but you will have to thoroughly clean the old adhesive of before replacement. It can be done by yourself and will not cost that much. So don't get suckered into a large replacement fee.

parts stores have a special kit that you can put it back on with but unless the temperature is around 50 degrees or higher it probably won't work, if you could get your car in a heated garage for a couple of hours you would be ok.

There is glue that you can buy at Walmart, Target, etc. that is specifically for putting the mirror back on. The sun melted the glue on my boyfriend's rear view mirror and he used that glue to stick it back on and its been fine since.

I think it will be okay, but if not ask nicely if they can help you out and stick it back for you. By the way, did you know rthat a car can pass an MOT with only one windscreen wiper as long as the wiper is on the drivers side and he has clear vision.
