I've been contemplating divorcing my husband and even getting a restraining order against him because he is becoming hateful and violent. I need to talk with a professional marriage counselor. Does anyone know of any site's I can visit with open chat regarding my situation?

you should wait until you're alone, and make a confidential call to your local womens shelther. Their numbers will be in the phone book- and they can guide you to a place that will help you and talk with you. Or google some websites, though if you want immediate help without having to wait for the websites to reply and get back with you (when they will probably only refer you to a local place anyway) then i'd suggest just calling them. they normally answer their phones 24 hours and can talk to you specifically about what's going on, offer you some counseling and giveyou ideas.

You really should call someone in your area and talk to someone in person. Don't wait though. If he's becoming violent you shouldn't wait any longer to talk to someone. Do it today.
