Question #1 can you cook to save your life?
Because if you can't cook, I'm thinking the burned hamburger helper dinner is not gonna win points for our hero (you).
Question #2 what did you do last year? Cook for her or take her out to eat at Red Lobster?
If the answers don't suggest home cooking as a highly romantic activity, I would go for the Red Lobster. I have heard expensive dinners make a wife happy...

Red Lobster will be crowded and busy, I think you should go for the dinner and candles. Remember some after dinner chocolates, they don't have to be expensive. Buy her a pair of red socks and give her a foot massage with oil or lotion before she puts on the socks. Works every time!! Best of luck to you!!

Well I would say the candle light dinner one but then again I'm allergic to shellfish so it's basically you gaging which one she'd be happiest with based on the kinds of things you know she likes. She may be so impressed with what you decide that she'll want to pounce you right then and there and ya can't do that at red lobster now can ya?

Red Lobster doesn't show effort. An exclusive restaurant, maybe, but cooking at home works better every time. Assuming you can cook.

I think black candles and red candles are a really good idea for a gothic themed valentines dinner.
