My group of friends and I fight constantly. It has gotten to the point where there has been some sort of disagreement EVERY weekend since November. I simply cannot live like this anymore. So today, I suggested that we (once again) sit down and talk all of our issues out and figure out what to do so that this will not happen in the future. I talked to everyone, and everyone was game for the discussion except for one of my friends who didn't have the courtesy to respond to my message. We mutually set the time for 7. Today was my fathers birthday so I was out to dinner with my fam. and we got home later than expected. I texted everyone involved at 6:30 to alert them of this and two responded that that was ok. The third, who is basically the ringleader of the group, replied "Lets just do it tomorrow, people will have more energy."
I called her when I got home and discovered that she had made plans for the night. She basically decided to go out and drink and party over her friends. What?!?

I know the way you feel. I have friend problems every week, almost every day ( my good days are when i don't have friend dilemas ) because unfortunately they are a part of life, that every teenager has to deal with. I have to admit, for girls its A LOT harder. Guys just punch each other and they're done. Whereas girls can hurt a lot more and they know how to twist things up and amplify it.
For starters i've tried talking out problems, and sometimes its the best way, if your friend is mature enough to handel a one-to-one conversation. But a few times the friend will not contribute much to the conversation and act like they are mad at you the next day for what you said. Or they will twist everything up and find a way to annoy you even more.
Next, this "ringleader", or so you called her. The girl who chooses to go out, drink, and party over her friends, is a really bad friend. If she chooses partying over solving friend issues, she's not a friend. Its that simple.
Lastly, one thing you have to remember during friendship arguements, is that things can get heated, but you just have to keep your cool, stay calm, and try to be the mature on of the group. If your other friends see that you can sovle friendship problems, that you can be big enough to try and solve it all, they'll think of you as more mature. I don't mean to say that you should try and be the leader, just try to be the mature one, because girls can be very immature and things can escalate fast if you don't stay calm.

Honestly this is a very tough question. I went to an all girls high school in Westchester, NY so I know a lot about drama. My friends would fight constantly over boys, clothes, anything you could think of. Usually these problems had their roots in the fact that people couldn't keep their mouths shut, but here's what I found always helped...stay away from each other for a little bit, wait it out, because group discussions always make everyone even angrier especially if they haven't had time to cool off.

I think your group of friends is slowing splitting up, and moving in different directions. It's hard to let go, but I think that's what you're gonna find will happen. Have as much fun with them while you still can.

i know this is off topic, but today was my birthday, too! ok, well maybe the 'leader' is just being a ***** and she doesnt really care about being anyones friend anymore. that doesnt seem very fair for her to ditch you guys like that when you were all willing to solve your problems. well i wish you luck with your friends.
tell your dad HAPPY BIRTHDAY.
