I don't have one favorite artist. Right now I can't stop listening to Ruby Tuesday by the Rolling Stones; No Woman, No Cry by Bob Marley; and 2+2=5 by Radiohead.

My favorite artist of all time is Depeche Mode. My favorite song by them is probably "Suffer Well".
My favorite straight rock artist right now is 10 Years, song: "Cast It Out". They're pretty mellow; no screaming. :P
Other good songs: Chevelle "The Clincher", Chronic Future "Time and Time Again", Revis "Caught in the Rain", Audioslave "Bring 'Em Back Alive", and Glassjaw "Ape Dos Mil". Awesome songs!

so hard to chose a metal song as my fave beings there are soooo many subgeneras. too hard to pick but some of my fave are
nu-metal: Slipknot - people = ****
melodic metal:Cradle of Filth - pretty much all of the Midian album
speed metal: anything from megadeath
black metal:Don't listen to much black but i like Enthroned - Tales from a black afterlife
death metal:Cannibal Corpse - Make them suffer
folk metal: Finntroll - trollhammermen
prog metal: Opeth - no fave song they just rule
Grindcore: The Berzerker - Reality
Punk Metal: Impaled Nazarene - armageddon death squad
Classic Metal: Black Sabbath - Paranoid
and many many more smaller subgeneras these are just the main ones
