I've noticed this about me, even in my relationships, that I'd rather hang out and go places with my friends/boyfriend's parents...or I'd much rather hang out with people who are at least more than 15 years older than me (I'm 26). I feel that I'm more cared about when I'm with these people.

Older people have much experience with life and perhaps you have gained some wisdom from their experiences? It's not weird because maybe on some level you feel more at ease with someone older then yourself?
I grew up in a family where most of my siblings were much older then me and often I would hang out with them. How a person is raised has a lot to do with how they are towards others generally because you learn from your parents .
I would say that maturity depends upon how they act more then their age because even some older people can be immature and irresponsible. I have met people my own age who are both mature and immature and the same with people who are older.
I was close to one of my sister's who taught me a great deal about things. She spent a lot of time with me and I felt cared for by her because she was very loving.
She never told me what to do and she allowed me to make my own mistakes. When I was a kid I felt more at ease around her then I did people my own age at that time.

Maybe you just like to be around more mature people, and are tired of childish immature people. It's not weird at all for a 26 year old woman. But probably you'll feel better with an older man, Don't fight your nature.

It may be a little unusual for a 14-year-old to play with dolls, but when you're talking about a teenager who LOVED her American Girl dolls when she was younger and decided to take a "nostalgia break," then what's the problem? I'd have no problem with that. I would NEVER push the make-up issue, or the boys issue. In fact, I would be the one saying you're too young to be wearing make-up or fawning over boys. No child, boy or girl, should be pushed to "grow up" in that manner. It's one thing to teach children to be responsible, so they understand their actions have consequences and things like education are an investment in their futures, but to march a young girl down the road of "acting her age" by wearing make-up and taking more of an interest in guys is just plain stupid.

When I was younger I loved to hang with much older people than myself. They were interesting to talk with and do things with. Later when I got older I love to be with younger people and even teenagers. They make me feel young again and most teens like being with me. How Kool is that? The best of both worlds and I understand them both quite well. I had a teen daughter and her friends liked to spend time with me and my daughter at the same time. We did things together and went places we all liked mutually. It was lots of fun and I'm a better person for it. You will be also.

you are not weird strange or anything else unusual. lots of people are like that. you may just find older people more mature. i always enjoyed the company of older people my daughters boyfriend is 15years her senior and there are big age gaps between quite a few People i know . older people have the benefit of knowing how you feel now after all they have been there .hang on to your older friends . they can be a great source of love comp fort and friendship.

Ihave never felt that way. Growing up, I felt uncomfortable with people two years my senior let alone adults. However, I'm better now. I have no trouble dating men 20 years older.
Well, what do you peers say about you talking to the parents instead of them?

whos says ur good friends have to be the same age. I have friend s 10 years younger and 10 years older. I think this helps u respect other people views and opinions alot better.
