Dear Madame:

Your unsophistication baffles me. It's rather depressing.

"Eau de toliette" refers from the French to meaning Perfume. While Americans have taken the the world "Toilette" to mean "Toilet", the French use the word to describe one's bathroom. "Bathroom Water" refers to cologne or perfume, which would traditionally be applied in one's bathroom.

Go buy a freakin globe.

Yours,

Pianoguy

The word toilette refers to your bathing, dressing, hair & makeup routine. As such it's the scented water splashed on after your routine to get ready for the day.

Toilet water is water with scent in it, like most cheaper scents. The more expensive perfumes are made from the essences of different flowers, etc. and costs much more. I wear Red and One.

Because the french probably put their perfume on in the bathroom while they're grooming themselves. I'm not wearing any at the moment.
