Because of wimpy Judges, who fear riots, and personal injury if they make the wrong call. If reversed, the white beaters would be accused of a 'racial beating', which would be the judgement ALSO in fear of riots, as if they got off, the Judge would then be considered racist.
I don't know how long it will go on. I am not racist, but if I were to make a comment about anything that is factual about an african-american, I would be told I'm prejudice. Why is it OK for them to call each other 'n^&&%%s", but anyone else is racist for doing the same. Although I won't feel what the African-American race went through 400 years ago, neither will any alive today. I do feel for the last generation up to th '60's, and I'm sure those around today have anger as a result. But any others- how long will those times be an excuse to get away with crime, and a cushion for a free ride?

You have a point but I think people in general like to complain about double standards when it is not in their favor. What if someone asked why do cops profile black people with nice cars and not white people with nice cars? When it comes to race there many double standards not just for blacks but for whites as well.

take a basic class on ethics. there is no such thing as a "racist double standard." there is another way to describe what you are trying to get at...and "racism" is NOT the word. racism by a minority group against a majority group does not exist. racism implies an imbalance of power. therefor it can only be imposed by a majority group...the one with the power.

NEW INFO...

ok, well first of all i think it's very odd that you stalked one of my other questions in order to respond to me. why don't we leave it in the proper arena. when i'm asking a silly question about newsanchors, i don't want to think about racism. now...to address your new question. (ie what will i do when whites become the minority and anti-white sentiments (you said "racism") continues?) well, i think i would call that RACISM. i'm pretty sure i explained that already....racism is an imbalance of power...the majority group picks on the minority....so, yeah. that would then be called racism.

it intrigues me as to why you are so irrational and angry about this issue. but, typical i suppose. when you are used to "white privilage" and then something happens to you that doesn't seem fair (boo hoo) i guess that can be tough, since it's new. but think about it, you are so mad about this....but african americans, hispanics, etc.. experience these things every day. so, i say, deal with it. you may have to experience it once or twice in a blue moon, but minorites deal with injustice every day. open your eyes.

and if you need to find a word to call this...call it INJUSTICE. that is a word you can use to imply that something isn't fair. that's what these events you've described are...unjust. not racist.

in case your wondering...because i assume that would be your next attack...i am white.

MORE NEW INFO

ok, i talked this over with a friend today, because i just thought you stalking me was entirely too much bad energy for you. my friend grew up in the south, and i in the north. he explalined to me that although my idea of racism is by definition, correct...perhaps this idea in practice can be difficult to swollow.

so i guess i'm going to say that i don't know how you feel about this "double standard." and i guess if you feel like people are being racist towards you or whatever, then that is how you feel. but i don't feel that way. and i think it's very petty for a white person to complain how people treat them...when we are given unspoken privilages everyday.

one time i was watching Chris Rock do live stand up. and he said, "no matter how rich i am, no matter how famous, i bet you any amount of money there is not one white person in this room who wishes they were me." and i thought about that a lot...and i bet it was true. so if i white person wouldn't trade places with a very rich and famous black person.....i think it's because they understand, they know inside that african americans are not treated as they should, all the time. so i'll be damned if i'm going to get up and piss and moan about the way somebody treats me...some little white girl. i don't have the right to complain about ANYTHING involving race. that's just how I feel, MY opinion.

Rascism is anti Bible. The languages were eliminated at Pentecost where everyone understood everyone.which is the prophesy of heaven where we will all be one race and language under one Eternal and Almighty God(one Father).

But we must be born again to inherit this glorious experience in Heaven. No more tears.
