My school is having an 80s day...what should I wear?

Okay, I seriously need some ideas. I have thought about going to a thrift store, but what should I look for? What were some of the fashions. (I already know about leggings, crimped hair, and over baggy sweaters)

80, oh yes the 80's.

What I think is that you should go to Claire's (I think they have that in the states, or maybe it's Icing there...I'm from Canada) or any accessory store like that and get some really retro necklaces that are like those big plastic balls, and some big earrings.

Polka dots and stripes were in, bright colours, animal prints like leopard and zebra were in too.

It would be neat if you flipped your hair out like they did back then, and got some red lipstick to spice things up.

For shoes, I know for sure pumps were in, classic red pumps!

I could go on and on, but basically if it's 80's make it bright, colourful, fun and retro!

I really think that the accessories like the earrings, necklaces and bracelets are key here because even if your clothes aren't that retro, that can tie the outfit together and you'll look great.

Another retro thing is how they had those little scarves and tied them around their necks. It looks cute and if you don't want it around your neck you can tie it in your hair for the same effect.

Baggy style is the best, or a t-shirt and jeans. And wear Adidas Superstars without laces. That´s 80s!

Guess jeans and those cute (never understood why it went out) kinda tight little blue jean skirts. Fishnet tops were a fun girl style too. Acid-washed denim was also pretty hot in the mid 80s.
