Really? explain this to me. I expect to get rational responses from Republicans and emotional responses from Democrats.

"Rational" has become
"single-minded".

"Emotional" has become "This can't possibly be the best America can do!"

if you believe what you say... then perhaps you should look up the definitions to the words "rational" and "emotional"

Republicans can't defend this war... if you ask them a critical question they clearly get "emotional" and start calling you names and insulting your intelligence... and never EVER actually try to use any facts to prove you wrong...

but let's just slow down here for a second and really look at it... let's take the last question you asked in politics as an example...

"Was 9-11 the best terrorist recruiting tool ever?"

and the "best answer" was "Wrong-the jihadist woke up and got GWB busy killing them"...

Well, that's certainly a "rational" comment... hahaha... why he supports his ideas so well with fact and there are no "emotionally violent" connotations there... oh no... hahaha

in fact... there are clearly more rational answers to this question... people who use facts and almost no emotional language... on both liberal and conservative points...

and there are some emotional liberal responses and other emotional conservative responses...

so, where does this leave us? It leaves me thinking that you define "rational" as something you agree with and "emotional" as something you disagree with...

so in other words... you couldn't pick a rational argument from emotional argument if you had 25 minutes, a dictionary and a group of geniuses to help you decide between the two...

I belong to neither party and after a few weeks watching this site I have to answer this question with another. If the Republicans are so rational, why is it when they don't agree with a particular idea, the majority of their responses are full of swearing, name calling, threats and other immature displays of ignorance? I realize this behavior is exhibited by both groups, but the cons do it far more than the libs. They have raised it to an art form.

Republicans are the ones screwing everything up all the time and the Democrats are sick of it! What's wrong with people these days?! The government really is a reflection of the people in this country. Your question is an example of that. Wake up people, smell the innocent blood!

Bush propagandizes his Republican supporters. He appeals to their emotions, not their intellect. Because that's the most effective approach to take with Republicans. Not rationality, not the facts... emotional pleas. Push the "patriotism" button, push the "freedom" button, push the "terror" button... and you get what you want from Republicans.

Push the 'logic' button, and Republicans don't answer the bell.

There is nothing wrong with having emotions. Democrats are also blessed with being rational too.

If you already knew what the responses would be the why did you ask the question in the first place?

If by Democrat you mean concerned for EVERY American.

If by Republican you mean self-serving and condeming other citizens rights!

Very interesting. Can you include some examples, citations perhaps?

Or is this your generalization on the world?
