I don't no what control u have over the internet. I think u should just tell ur kids what websites they're aloud 2 look at. And 2 make sure they're obeying u, u could go back and look at the history of the sites. As for the TV, u can block-out channels. My dad blocks out MTV and other channels like that. It's the one with the passwords where only u no what it is. God bless.

Depends. I am assuming you mean like on TV and maybe the Internet.
If you want to shield them from bad things on TV, buy a TV with a V-chip and activate parental controls on cable or satellite. Take an interest in what kinds of movies they watch and games they play. Be involved.
You should ask yourself though, what your goal is in shielding them in each case. If you just want them not to see things, they will see them eventually when you're not around and still get messed up. It might make more sense to sit down and talk with your kids about the kinds of bad things out there, and why you don't want them seeing that. Then trust them to respect your wishes for them. If they break that trust, punish them by denying them TV privileges for a good long while.

The more you try to block the more creative they will become in finding ways to see it. There is no really good way to block everything so its best to have a good relationship with your kids so that they learn the morals and values you want them to learn, so that when they see bad things it doesn't phase them.
