Nostalgia is not humiliating for me, but sometimes what is impotant for me is not so significant to people I knew "way back when". Treasure your memories, friend. They are really special when you age.

Is natural to feel nostalgia when you have been involved but if someone doesnt want to have you in her or his life is wasted time to continue to live searching for that person.

Maybe if you made an extra effort to find your old friends, you might have some luck. Old friends are the best. They no your personality, likes, dislikes, family. If I were you I would try really hard to locate at least one.

I've got quite a few old friends who suddenly want something to do with me when they want something but any other time they're nowhere around. Like last year my father passed away and when I really needed them they were nowhere. Life's too short to deal with trash so I set them on my curb and forgot them.

no, its not humiliating, it just shows you have more feeling (and a better memory) than some people...as long as you don't dwell in the past and learn from your mistakes of course :)
