I'm on Ortho Tri-Cyclen Lo and I'm considering getting off of it temporarily. If anyone has done this, can you please tell me:
-How long it took for your period to return?
-If your period was as heavy/ cramps were as painful as they were before you got on BC? (If they were heavy/painful before.)
-If you lost/gained weight after getting off BC?
-Any other helpful info.
Thank you so much! I'm still going to talk to my doctor, but I wanted to hear as many outside testimonials as possible. Thanks again!

Thanks for all the help! I should clarify that I'm not getting of it to get pregnant; I just don't really need it at the moment. Also, I know it's superficial, but it's made me put on a little weight in my stomach and I want to try to get rid of that.

I was on Loestrin Fe. My period came back right on track after I stopped taking them. It does last for one more day then it used to, but for the most part it is still right on track 28 day cycle. My cramps are a bit more and the bloating as well, but nothing untolerable. Good news is my monthly migraines went away!

The two times that I quit birth control pills to get pregnant, I never got another period as I got pregnant right away. This isn't the norm but I guess I was lucky????? It's recommended to wait a few months between going off the pill and getting pregnant, but that wasn't known back in my day. I have two beautiful daughters and they are healthy with no problems from my getting pregnant so quickly.
