My daughter I carried higher. I am pregnant with a boy this time and he is so low that even though I am smaller everything is harder (getting up, bending down). My tummy hits my legs every time... and I am not even huge yet

Maybe I'm weird, but I carried my son super low too, and could do everything just fine. I had an entire hand width between my boobs and the top of my 'belly'. I worked as an auto detailer until hours before I was induced (I was 41 weeks and Dr. wouldn't let me stay pregnant any longer). Mostly what I couldn't do was sleep towards the end. I've only been pregnant once, though, and don't know what it's like to carry higher.

no its definitely not just you!! i also carried my first baby (a boy) way up high. i am now 37 weeks pregnant with baby #2 (don't know the gender), and I have been carrying extremely low since the very beginning. and i hate it! i cant sit without my belly on my legs, and if i sit with my legs spread, my belly actually rests on the chair or couch, or whatever i am on. everything is much harder to do for me as well... i remember with my first i was jumping around like i still weighed 115 pounds (not 170!) the day before i was induced. the worst part for me is that my stomach is so low it actually makes a crease right about where my c-section scar is (low!). and it is actually really painful. plus my underwear and pants get "folded" into that crease, and it really does hurt. so lame! just another joy of pregnancy... luckily i am having this kid in exactly 2 weeks!

good luck! congrats on your second baby!

My Boys are now 17 and 12, but i will never forget my older one. Even the doctor said, "the baby planted extremely low". I would got such pains in my cervix when he got to be about 8 months in gestation. I would fall to my knees. I didn't sleep for 2 months at the end. On the up side, He really is the best person I've ever met. It's hard to live through, but well worth it.

I am carrying low, with a girl... and its miserable. I can barely bend, and simple things are impossible. I'm only 6 months and fear I wont be able to do anything at 9 months. I grunt like an old lady every time i have to reach down at something lol.
