Everyone's aware of Phoenix's recent win streak of 17, but how 'bout those Celtics, spiraling lower to 14 straight losses? Which team holds the record for consecutive losses? Also, how far will the Celtics fall before they finally win one? Why are they losing so many? What's the solution?

The record for the longest losing streak in the NBA is held by two horrible teams, the 1995-96 Vancouver Grizzlies and the 1997-98 Denver Nuggets, each losing 23 games in a row.

the celtics will continue to lose a few more games but probably won't get the record

they are losing so many because Pierce is hurt and now they are trying to fall as far as possible to win the Oden sweepstakes

the solution could be a good big man like Oden to put with Jefferson and a healthy pierce

I can also tell you the team who has the Most losses in a season - (When you said Most NBA Losses, I thought that was what you were going for.)

I believe it was the 1972-73 Philly Sixers who finished the season at a lowly... 9 wins 73 losses.

About thirteen years ago, the Dallas Mavericks finished the season 13 wins and 69 losses. Had they not BEATEN the Minnesota Timberwolves FIVE times that season and lost all five of those games, they would have had the worst season record ever at 8-74.

well theyre losing so many games because they dont have paul pierce. he is one of the great players in todays game. aside from him the celtics are very young, inexperienced, and made some bad trades. for example: they traded basically brandon roy for sebastian telfair who will never be a great player anyways. roy has allstar potential. also, the celtics might be tanking on purpose to get oden or durant or noah. the solution is to get pierce back along with a good draft pick player.

They're throwing away their season in hopes of getting the first draft pick and picking up the phenom Greg Oden.
