Yes it's normal because you go through hormonal changes almost like a dog in heat. I get the same way.

Strangely I think it is. I can tell when my girlfriend is within a couple days. She knows I can usually do without during her period. She will not even warn me that she is on or really close. During this time she will initiate sex. Much to my surprise I am swimming in blood. She is definitely more horney right at the start of her period.

If you're really in love with your mate, it's normal ANY TIME to want sex. One bonus of having sex when your period is close is that it often makes cramps less severe.

A woman is very hormonal around that time of the month. I would definately say it's normal. Anything is normal when you are hormonal...lol.
