That's a good question. My opinion: they were a very good band and Steve Perry had an amazing voice. Other than some pretty good songs, what did they really contribute to music? Not much, really. I like them, though, so...hey...

About as much as Foreigner and REO Speedwagon. All right pop music (though Steve Perry had a pretty good voice) but certainly not rock anthems. Though "Any Way You Want It" on Caddyshack was a cool moment.

Journey was my first concert in 1982. Greg Kihn opened for them.


Any Way You Want It is the best song by them.

hmmm....well that depends on your version of merit for a band ....rush is definatly a 10 out of 11. opera 11 out of 11. techo. 17 out of 11 you get the idea. kansas 7 out of 11.
