qualifing GATE is mandatory for getting M.Tech admission into IITs and NITs.A mere qualification does not guarantee the admission.U have to get the good rank/percentail in gate to get seat in nits&iits.

Why don't you try for admission in Bangalore. Many good colleges are there with bright future and scope.
