Have the United States (and other G8 countries) be role models in good governance, equitable treatment of humans both domestically and internationally, having respect for humanitarian law and being stewards of the environment.

That's near impossible, but absolutely necessary considering the amount of money spent on maintaining "global security" which is violent and inequitable as-is.

Well first off Terrorism is not worth fighting, It can never be defeated, as much as we deter terror plots:

#1 - You can't kill what you can't see coming at you

#2- Terrorism has been with us for years just not this bad, if we didn't defeat terror back then what makes you think we will defeat it now since it's 10 times worse then it used to be.

#3- You can only blame us americans for allowing terrorism to grow and become a huge problem.

We need to slowly withdraw our troops and let the Iraq's handle the situation it was dumb to even kill saddam he kept his people in check.

Vote. Pay attention to world events. Invest in foreign countries & companies. Treat people fairly, & equally. And conserve & recycle more (so as to reduce our dependence on foreign oil...). ALL of these things would make the world a better place for the people in it- & reduce the risk of terrorism.
