Well don't be shy, it's a bra store. Just simply ask an associate if you can get a fitting or a bra measurement. Make sure that you are wearing a full support bra because that will help determine a better measurement. So they will follow you to the dressing room, and use measuring tape to measure the distance on the bottom of the bra, and then on the bust line to determine the cup size and you'll take your top off but keep your bra on and it will take 30 seconds and that's it! Do you know that there's pleanty of women out there that are not wearing the right bra size as we speak? It's better to get a fit once a year. I know I need one. Don't be afraid, they're used to it and they are nice about it. And you can go to any department store in the lingerie section as well and someone that works there can help you too.

The people at Victoria's secret are always milling around looking for people to help, you are just what they want. just go up to one of the people who works there and be honest and tell them that you are confused as to what size you are in a bra, give them an idea of what size blouse you wear, then they can probably take a look at you and don't be shy, and start looking at types of bras that you like, and off you go to the fitting room with the sales girl and let her help you see what fits best. To be honest, most women out there are not wearing the right size, and don't even know it. Some are actually wider than they think so they wear bigger cups, or the other way around, you aren't asking a silly question. I don't think Victoria's Secret makes the best bras, you might actually want to go to a specialty place if this is the first one you are getting and really get fitted by a pro, and then go get the pretty ones, that really don't last that long. I'm not sure that the girls who work at these places are really trained in fitting someone in an advanced way. There are specialty stores all over the country that do this for a living. I don't know where you live so I can't help. Maybe you could try the yellow pages, or google to find the really right place for you. I do hope I've helped somewhat. I'm not talking down VS, I certainly think they have a place in our wardrobes, a big place, and they have beautiful bras that we and our men love, but maybe not the place to start.

I walk in and they say may I help you and I say yes I would like to buy a bra but I am not sure what size I need. They then look at you and show you to a dressing room with the size they think you need. If they do not fit right they drag out the measuring tape and get you a perfect fit. They realize that just because you wear a certain size from Wal-Mart it doesn't mean the same size there. They do a great job. I am hard to fit and never had a bra fit me right until I went there.

Just say "I don't know my size" and they will bring a little measuring tape used for clothing sizes. They will wrap it around your ribcage to find the band size you need (35) and then they will wrap it around your upper back and pull the string out in front of your breasts, without making any contact, they know how many inches equals what cup size (A,B,C,D)
So if you are 35in around and a C they will tell you 35C. and so on and so forth. And every company is different. At meijer I'm a D and at VS I'm a C or a D. Its the same as all clothing sizes, different by the label.
