No, it is not device independent!. For example, WAP phones cannot understand HTML and cannot render it. HTML is understood by web browsers only.

wht does device independent mean Html is the one with the help of that u can make the website and show the world what u want and distribute ur experience or ur knowledge. Hence u can it does not require any device but it is not correct to ask that Html is the device independent

I wouldn't go that far, for most devices that don't have an Html compliant browser(like mobile phones) and high screen res, you'll have to develop in wml.

but for iPaqs, handhelds, even Psp's, let's say, you can browser the web just as you would like a normal pc (only smaller, lol).

but it is quite feasible to say you can get your information out there on an html website, anyways you can redirect mobile users to a wml version if you need it.

Yes, I suppose it is so in anyway anyone interprets your meaning, HTML is designed to let anyone on any device to read the same publication paper.

What do you mean by "device independant" ? I guess you need a PC and an internernet connection if thats what you mean!
