I am a photo buff as my digital camera is my best friend. I frequently upload & burn my personal movies, lounging and surfing at cafes, burning my photos & copying them to friends, watching movies ( so good audio is important), and using the computer to call overseas so a good mic is also important. If the better choice is a Mac, is the black better bec. it does not leave fingerprints or a white Mac? I read some reviews that the white Mac esp. its keyboard easily gets dirty? My main concern is the weight and size but if the other has more features with a little difference in price, I would go for that. Is there anyone who is a pro at comparing both features of both models given what I intend to do with my laptop? I need your valuable unbiased advise! ( meaning I hope you donot work for either Apple or Dell :) THANK YOU !

Hello ddkreft88,

Most definitely, get yourself a white MacBook. A friend of mine has the black MacBook and you can see the finger prints pretty easily with that too. But, if you love the black, it has a slightly larger hard drive. Why not go for it? Here's a comparison page at the Apple web site:

The MacBooks have a built-in iSight camera for video conferencing, an Airport card for working from your favorite WiFi coffee houses and bluetooth for communicating with your cell and what ever. I love the new easy pop-out power plug.

I use iPhoto, although I'm not a professional photographer (naturally, there's even more professional software available, but free is very nice) and I enjoy listening to my music and podcasts on iTunes.

By far the best thing about the Macintosh is Mac OS X. There's no viruses, no hassles, no system crashes. It simply works.

The worst thing about the Mac is how badly your Windows friends treat you. I don't know if it's jealousy or the fact that you just find that you enjoy using your computer a lot more than they do.

Best of luck on what ever you decide.
