The book "Dress for Success" is a good reference. A clean, pressed business suit is a good choice. Look as professional as you can. Guys need a tie, jacket and shined leather shoes. Ladies should go with a blouse and skirt, a low heel pump, neutral hose and modest makeup and jewelry. Cover ALL tattoos and remove visible piercings (other than earrings.) Also try to do some research on the company you are interviewing for (especially any related recent news items). Knowing something about the place you may work shows interest and enthusiasm. Good luck!

Don't make the mistake of wearing an outfit that you would wear out to the club or to go hand with your friends, no matter how cute it is. If the job is in an office environment, you should wear a nice pant or skirt suit with a nice top, pantyhose and heels. If the job is a little more relaxes, wear a nice pair of black slacks, a nice white top, heels and some nice simple jewelry.

don't wear white and don't wear colors that are too dark! Also never wear pinstripes to an interview!

Wear something that is solid colored , with no designs, and no more than 2 different colors in the outfit all together. Colors that are interview friendly are pastels generally and the color blue.

something conservative. Depending on the job of course, but I would say some dress pants or knee length skirt with a nice top or sweater. Not jeans, unless it's a really casual place.

depends on the job you are applying for. you don't want to overdress for a warehouse or waitress position. but if you are trying to land an office job, you will want to dress at least in something nicer than jeans and a polo shirt.
