I don't know if mine are proper or not but I have several. The one I use is Martha Stewart's hydrangea teapot it is inexpensive and if it gets broken I would be sad but not heartbroken and that is why I use it. I have more that I have never used because they are to important to me. My prize is a black one with gold flowers on it when you tip it over it plays Here Comes The Bride. My husband bought it for me in Mexico for our first anniversary it has never been used but I have promised my son from the time he was a little boy when he gets engaged we will use it to celebrate. My collection will keep growing because if I use them or not I love looking at them. It will make me very happy on the day I can use my black one and make good on my promise.

Yes and yes.
I have something like 45 teapots. Fifteen are proper, about twenty are whimsical, and ten are just for fun.

'Proper'? 'English Teapot?' 'Brown Betty' 'Silly Animal'?
I don't care for your tone, woman. Are you a vegan? (;

Is it sad that I use a Pyrex measuring cup in the microwave and then drop in a teabag? I can drink it with lemon or milk, which one makes it more "English"?
