Well, my first response was about diets and weight control. But then you added the details about needing a dress... so had to change my answer.
Try Layne Bryant for plus sized dresses in a variety of styles. Any good department store will also have a selection to choose from. Since I don't know exactly what you are looking for, here are some generalized tips:
1. Look for dresses that hit right below the knee. Anything too long might make you look shorter and broader.
2. Look for dresses with simple lines and solid colors. Adding a lot of detailing only draws attention to your body, and off your face.
3. Whatever detailing is on the dress needs to be at the neckline to keep the eye near your face.
4. Look for dresses in light flowing fabrics, like linen or georgette. Stiff and heavy fabrics, like satin or polyester, will only bulk around your body, adding pounds.
5. Look for a short or 3/4 sleeve to help hide shoulder and arm problem spots.
6. The dress shouldn't have any horizontal lines or patterns. Try a bias cut dress for a smooth line that still keeps a feminine shape.
7. If you opt for pants instead of a dress, make sure it's just as flowing. Nothing too tight or too bulky.

Hi, I'm sorry that I don't have any info on sites for the sort of outfits you are looking for but hopefully someone else out there will. What Iwanted to say though was that you shoudn't worry too much about your weight on your daughters wedding. The main thing is that you attend and get to share your daughters wonderful day with her. I expect if your daughter knew that you were anxious it would upset her because she wouldn't want you to worry. Anyway, on these special days, no-one cares too much how others look, everyone is just there to enjoy themselves and have fun. I'm sure that so long as you feel comfortable and have something lovely on, you will feel happy and be able to enjoy yourself with your family and friends. Take care

David's Bridal has some nice mother of the bride dresses in all sizes
www.davidsbridal.com
Also, The Evening Store

I suggest going to stores and trying dresses on though. You may find something at a local department store that will look quite nice, and be affordable, rather than going to a bridal shop for an "official" mother of the bride gown.

Try this link. Your daughter will be so happy just to have her mom at the wedding, but I know how important it is for a woman to feel good about herself.

Congratulations on your daughter's upcoming wedding! My sister and aunt both describe themselves as "dangerously curvaceous", and some of the sites they like to shop at are:
www.Catherines.com ; www.roamans.com ; www.Avenue.com ; www.jms.com . I hope this helps you find the perfect outfit for this really special occasion!
