It's nothing spooky. Just tell him. As a mental health practitioner with 20+ years experience, now retired, and having dealt with that issue throughout my practice, and in my own personal life, I'd tell you that the quicker you quit worrying and wondering about it, and the sooner you go tell the guy simple and straightforward, the sooner your chances with him will get better. In my personal experience, shy guys are actually fun to hang out with because you'd be surprised how open they get when you're with them one on one.. usually. Just ask him if he wants to hang out or go do somethin.. but not like a movie, something where you guys can talk. Also, if it's that hard to confront him in person, try initially contacting him through the internet..aim, myspace, etc. It might be easier that way! Hope that helps!

To me, this is the best combo! If he's shy, you can feel more in control, and more confident! Go up to him and start a casual conversation, then once you're comfortable, try asking him out, the worst thing that could happen is that he says no.

if you're in middle school like me then do little things like flirting or talking to him a lot. and guys love it when you laugh or smile.

if you're in elementary school then just tell him or become his friend

if you're in highschool then maybe do the same thing with giving him clues but be more flirty, and always play it cool, don't look like an idiot in front of him. he'll like you if you're comfortable with him.

if he's a hard person to talk to, and he doesn't normally bring up conversations then you should start one. but make sure it's a topic you both can talk about

OMG! THATS WHAT I MA GOING THROUGH RIGHT NOW. ive gone through 4 plans already. my plan a was dumb. i told him to hold my book on my way home while i put my other one away but he didnt say anything he just put his hands out so that he could carry it quickly. then i said thanx and that was it. on december my school was selling candy cane grams and i bought one for him saying his name from my initials eventhough he doesnt know who i am. my plan c was my friend was suppose to introduce em to him but he never did.
