No I hate it to, it is just talking/rhyming, I can do that too, except I can actually sing!

No, it just a matter of personal taste and preference, some rap music is great and sounds awesome but some are just horrible and irritating. I don't personally care for it, but I' am not going to knock someone else choice of music. Someone might not like the music you listen too. Music is just a personal decision, besides not to long away people was complaining about rock and metal.

Well many of the responses you will get will be from people who are angry because their beloved genre of rock or heavy metal has been dying out for years now and this genre has taken it's place. Still most commercial rap music is not worth much and does not truly represent the genre. If you really want to try to understand it the first thing you must realize is that. Some rtists you might want to check out are: Common, Eric B & Rakim, Jurassic 5 and Nas another good rapper to start out on is Big Daddy Kane . Oh and to everyone that says: it is easy to rap because they can. Well it is easy to sing because i can sing. The thing is, i don't sing well; and you don't rap well.

Depends on why you think it's bad. Because of the messages or because of the way the music sounds?
Some Rap is ok, but most of it is just horrible, not because it doesn't have a good beat or SOUND good but because of what they're talking about. Same can be said about Rock, or Country, or whatever music you listen to.

No. I don't really care for it either. I'm sure people who LOVE rap don't like the kind of music you listen to. I agree with the other poster - it's all just a matter of taste!

I LOVE Christian, Rap, and Hip Hip. The beat and the messages gets me moving! And I am an OLD,44 year old, white, conservative, Republican, woman. Maybe you are listening to music that has a negative message, and that is why you don't enjoy it. The music I listen to empowers you, makes you feel joy, and pride.
