Yes, go. It could be that you're stressed out, or not eating enough. Some girls who play sports don't get periods often.

Well, I'm 25 and that doesn't happen to me anymore, but when I was in high school I remember I was very irregular also. I didn't get my period for 3 months one time. I guess it's normal to not get it on a regular basis at first, not sure when your first time was though. I got it in 5th grade, so it took about 8 years for me to get more regular, and even then I wasn't till I had a baby 2 years ago,now I'm very regular.
Also, make sure you're eating enough, and eating healthy, veggies and proteins, ect. That has a lot to do with it! Oh, and if you do decide to go to the gyno at some point, it's not that bad at all! Believe me, this is coming from a person who was totally grossed out by the thought of it, they're professionals and they are there to help.

As the first answerer suggested, it would be good to go. Listen, this is just part of growing up and being a woman. You are going to have to get over the embarrassment part, because at other points in your life you are going to have to go see doctors about potentially embarrassing things. There are many reasons that could cause you to miss. Have you been under a lot of stress lately? Are you extremely athletically active? Are you taking medications for anything? Go see the doc, have it checked out. The peace of mind will outweigh the embarrassment.

Most likely you are just having a change in your body and it probly means nothing. If it makes you feel more secure , then go to a doc and get examined. And as far as being embarresed, you might as well get used to it because that is what we woment go through all or our lives. Docs have heard it all. It might help to find a good female gyno. I know for me it is so much more confortable. And they know what we are going through.

Stress can cause your period to be late but, this is real late and there are other health issues that can cause this so you do need to see your doctor and make sure you tell him your a virgin and there is no way your pregnant so they don't exam you or run in unnecessary test on you that are costly. Tell your mother to make sure she make you a doctors appointment. Good luck and God Bless you.

ya you should see someone, dont take it lightly. but ive been in situations like u. i have them for 3 years now but they are still very irregular (meaning never around the same time of month). i think its just because im still young. it could just be that but u should defiantly go see the gyno.

could be because of stress, recent weight loss/gain or it could be a hormonal imbalance/fibroids/endometriosis. dont be embarrased, seeing the gynocologist isnt a bad thing, a lot of girls go, before there sexually active because of period issues...tell your mom to go with you..take care of your health, they might put you on the pill to regulate your periods.

Unpredictable or longer menstrual cycles are normal for teenagers and women in their 40s. If you are a teen, your cycles should even out with time.
