The Beatles - Yesterday
Henry Gross - Shannon
Tom T. Hall - Watermelon Wine
Those songs make me think of times with my late Grandparents, and for my family pets that have crossed the Rainbow Bridge.

Butterfly kisses by Randy Thomas
Don't take the girl by Tim McGraw
I have 1 daughter and 3 boys and I cry at every wedding when I hear 'Butterfly Kisses.' At the very thought of not being there for my daughter makes me cry when i hear 'Don't take the girl.'
Anyone that has not heard these songs have cheated themselves out of life's joys.
I'm crying now just thinking about them.

That was the only song Dennis Wilson ever wrote.

i dont know who wrote it, but i go glassy-eyed everytime i hear it. it goes like:
well im already there
take a look around
im the sunlight in your hair
im your shadow on the ground
im the whisper in the wind
and ill be there till the end
*something i dont understand*
well im already there!
its really good. its about a dad whos off to war, or something and hes parted from his son. his son wonders when dad will be back home, and he says the above. its a really heart wrenching song. and yes, its country. i wish i could play it for you!

Sadly enough..."Wind Beneath My Wings" by Bette Midler. My mom used to listen to that song when my father passed away 19 years ago, and to this day anytime I hear it...waterworks.
