Agree. To me though, to make a marriage work, I believe it takes a man a woman and God. So to make a marriage work, it takes 3.

I totally disagree with it. Marriage is a union of two very diffreent personalities who work together to become a complete couple. Thier souls are different their ideas are different their view points are different but yet they work towards one goal of loving and respecting each other and their families. Marriage is about warning the other if the path taken is a wrong one. Marriage is about communicating and sharing.
your statement sounds very filmy, its good to hear it in movies but practically it is a most stupid and absurd statement, how can one forget his or her identity and become one soul.

Disagree. Marriage means two souls who walk a path together, in support of one another; allowing each the freedom of individuality born of love but the strength gained by commitment of each to the other. You don't lose your personal identity when you marry.

Marriage means different things to different people. I believe we stay individuals, with our own personal dreams and interests, but working as a team, sharing, supporting eachother in life. I think its two souls, two bodies...with alot of love and support and commitment.

Are you asking what it should mean or what it means in todays society? I believe it should mean the marriage of two souls into one. More often today it means "I like this person now, but check back next week".

I agree with that completely. I tell my boyfriend that right now we are becoming closer, to the point where we can act and think as one person. I believe that you are twice as strong when you see eachother as one, rather than two seperate individuals and I think that it is important that you establish this before marriage.

Marriage means union of two souls into one...

This suggests that whenever I make a decision I should think about it's impact on her and whenever she makes a decision she must think about its impact on me...

That one soul is neither mine nor hers, but it's ours. If any one of us care more about our own individual soul then the marraige would be hell. Else nothing could be better...

Agree, as long as the marriage is at its zenith of success and disagree, when marriages fail.

Complete, utter blasphemic, malarky BULLSHEEE-AT. Wife wants me to be her soulmate and I say no freaking way. My soul will go to God in the end so I don't want any human (besides myself) to tarnish it anymore than I will here on earth.
Marraige is a union of two persons who think they can be compatible forever. Love and feelings and all of that crap is just window dressing. If you are friends, then a marraige will have a better chance of working out. This soulmate crap really disgusts me.
