I'm thinking no. My guess is that he wanted to take Sadaam out, more for his dads sake than anything else. I think he had dilussions of riding into Iraq, win a quick war and have the world bow at his feet. Now he has no idea what to do, and taking advice from people who don't care about anything except where will they find work once Bush is out of office.

His solution is "stay the course" with a few more soldiers. Much like the captain of the Titanic.

It all depends on how seriously you take the Islamic threats - should we continue to actively fight this demented ideology - or should we cut and run? (yes, "cut and run" - the euphemisms being tossed out lately like "redeployment" are nothing more than sugar coating the phrase "cut and run.")
Bush has always had a solution for Iraq - perhaps it might even work if the liberals weren't so damned intent on regaining Capital Hill at any cost and instead concentrated on the real issues and concerns facing this nation instead of promoting gay marriage, saving the rain forests, preventing any oil exploration and whining about how Bush conned them into voting for the invasion.
Geeeeezzz - get with the program!

You are asking a question and then trying to answer yourself. The truth is he gave a speech in early January detailing his solution. You might not agree with it, but YES, he has a plan. And until someone comes up with a better one, I'm going to have to say it is Iraq's best chance at peace and success. jason

I think he is truly mystified that things haven't gone the way the PNAC told him it would. I don't think he believes that his prewar "intelligence" was in fact cherry-picked and purposely deceptive. I think he believes that even if they knew then what they know now, the House and Senate would again vote to authorize him to order our forces to invade Iraq.

Bush doesn't have a solution for his fiasco.

You can't unscrew the pooch.

That's right. Its all him in that big ol'white house. He's got no advisors, or cabinet. Not to mention the congress and senate. All of whom (a majority anyway) agreed and authorized the President to go to war. Including your savior Hillary. Yep. He's all alone. Captain Stupid. Yet while he's busy being Captain Stupid he's also the greatest mastermind ever. Plotting to blow up the WTC, destroy levies in N.O. to get the blacks out, etc. Bush wears many hats.

No, not really. He was so determined to topple Saddam, gain access to Iraqi national resources, and be seen as a War President that he never considered the consequences of such actions.
