You know, Starbucks was created by some pompous *** who decided to overcharge the citizens of thise world who love the caffiene surge. Buy a coffee maker people! It's well worth it! And those iced coffee/ frapp-a- whats-its? Get a blender. Trust me, you can make them at home to taste as good ( or better ), and for half the price. Who needs a drive-thru if you already have your coffee?

While I don't care for Starbucks anymore, I LOVE having a drive through. I have a very busy schedule, and it is intensely cold outside. If I want something to warm me up, what sense does it make to get out into the cold?
By the way, Starbucks isn't the only national coffee chain to have drive through windows. Caribou has them as well.
They are a business. What's the big deal? A smart business cares about making the experience better for the consumer. That's why Starbucks is as big as it is.
And they HAVE NOT dominated the coffee industry. All you have to do is come to Des Moines, Iowa. The number of locally run coffee shops far outnumbers the Starbucks here. And those local shops are in no danger because they have loyal customers.

Starbucks is an amazing franchise. I live just outside Seattle and I kid you not, there is a Starbucks on EVERY corner. In my suburban town limits, there are 5 Starbucks, all with a newly installed drive-thru. You want to know what I think?
I wish I had bought some Starbucks stock a few years ago. While I dream of millions, I will sip on my Venti White Chocolate Mocha.

Personally, I think its quicker to go inside...because it takes some time to makes most drinks, unlike food drive thrus where the food is pre-prepared, it can take quite a long time.....we don't have any that I know of on Oahu, but I have seen them on the mainland..aloha

It's the height of laziness, but I do partake in the Dunkin' Donuts drive-thru once in a while....the lines are outrageous and it makes it a bit easier.

I think there is nothing wrong with it...in fact it makes the lines shorter inside. So while everybody else is waiting at the drive-thru window, I can go right in and get my drink. :)

If you are willing to pay the $4.00/coffe, please, go right ahead. I personally LOVE Starbucks, but yes, it is expensive...and they have dominated the coffe industry.
