I used to think the Osmond's were so wholesome with great family values. Marie seemed to be a wonderful mum, married and divorced she had a son, then she remarried to Brian Blosil having 2 more children of her own with him and adopting loads of others, whilst still working, and going on the road.

Now it seems her eldest adopted daughter Jessica has gone off the rails and certainly left her Mormon roots.

Is this down to Marie being a bad mother, or a child gone wild?

It was reported this summer that Marie discovered two of her daughters had my space accounts. They were deleted, but her eldest daughter is now an adult and obviously rebelling.

I found the original sites online:

Poor Marie, all those porcelain dolls she promotes and telling people it brings families together, well it didn't seem to work.

Is it because she works too much or because she took on too many children, more than she had time for?

This is not a judgment, but an open discussion for opinions.

Looks like her account was deleted so hopefully her mother found out about it!

I think all this proves is that there are no perfect parents or families.

Parents today have to be extra viligent with their children on the internet for a variety of reasons.

I remember reading about Marie Osmonds daughter's myspace accounts this summer. A tabloid found out about then and reported it. That was the first Marie knew about it.

As a responsible parent, she had the girls close down their accounts. The eldest daughter is now a legal adult, so of course she can reopen it and there is nothing Marie or her husband can do about it.

I don't think the bad behaviour of their young adult children has any reflection on them as parents or more specifically on Marie as a mother.

I am sure she is very disappointed her daughters acted out this way on the internet for all to see. The language is is very vulgar and not at all what I assume she would allow in her home.

Clearly this was done to fit in with their friends and perhaps they need better friends.

As for the eldest daughter, she states she is bisexual and has a girlfriend. She seems happy but her language and drinking is not in keeping with Marie's Mormon faith. I am sure Marie prays for her daughter to come back to her family values and religious beliefs. However she can't control what her adult daughter is doing.

Sometimes as parents we have to sit back and let children make their own mistakes and learn from them.

I think Marie is a good mother who loves her children and it can't be easy being famous and working so much, plus still keep your eyes on your kids 24/7.

Hope things work out for this wonderful family and that her daughter see's how much she's probably hurt her mother.

Famous people are no different from anyone really. Just that all their problems get put on TV and in the tabloids, which is where I first heard about this last summer.

Marie Osmond Daughters

The Osmond family is a great example of the perfect family lol. They even had 2 brothers who are def...and I didn't know that until I saw Entertainment tonight and there were showing highlights of Oprah's show... In our church(I'm the same religion as the Osmonds) family comes first...that's the whole thing. Without the family, nothing else can stand. It's like the building blocks of society basically. We work hard to keep our families and our relationships together.

No, she's not a bad mother. You can do everything in the world to teach your kids right from wrong. That doesn't mean they will listen. They all have a mind of their own.

I know many "preacher's kids" that seem to be the wildest kids I know. They are brought up so strict that they rebel.

It's probably hard on the kids knowing that their mom and the whole family is so famous. Maybe they just want to do their own thing and don't care what anyone else thinks.

All you can do is teach your kids the right way. That doesn't mean that they will listen and do the right thing.

You can't blame her for being a bad mother. I think she did all she could. I don't think she was away from her children that much. I think her family always came first.

She was the breadwinner while her husband stayed at home with the kids. He had as much if not more responsibility to raise the kids to have values, get an education, be responsible, love God and etc. The issues her kids faced are issues we all face unfortunately we do it in private, Marie's family don't. The stuff her kids have done are pretty minor. but We make jokes, pass judgements, make assumptions, bad mouth Marie without knowing ALL facts and not knowing if the stories are blown out proportion.

I would say that she is not a bad mother. There are several reasons while i say that but first of all you are saying that you believe in myspace. Myspace is a bunch of trash anyone can but anything on that so i would not believe that and you do not get the whole picture to the whole story. By the way i would consider you to search the Osmond Website or search the news stations and the newspapers to get the full story on the Osmond's. Will you get the information strait about what really happens before you pull down on someone.

Because we all are free to choose parents can only do so much; as good as a parent can be there is still a chance that children will take a path different from their parents. Also, it is really not our position to judge anyone, because we never can know another's circumstances. No one is perfect and we shouldn't expect that. So, I guess I really can't say if it's the mom or the child gone wild. It may be neither.

I don't think Marie is a bad mother. On the contrary, I think she does the best she can every day. Children of celebrities often take longer to mature emotionally and spiritually, so it's just a matter of time before anyone who is in the "rebel" stage grows up.

We don't have enough evidence to report on the question that you ask. The myspace account that you show points out that the people involved are not likely Mormon.
Leaving the Mormon church is not a bad thing. It is just where you go afterward!

Her kids are teenagers and they have websites without parent's knowing. Her kids are being kids, Mormons have some very strict rules and the eldest daughter probably is fed up with them. Normal stuff.
Saw the site and I am thinking shock value. She is being herself.
